Work experience 2016

​

One week’s work experience at Living Space Architects, Exeter, working on a barn conversion project.

Needs of the user:

• Convert the listed building in to a 1 bedroom annex with garage 

• Problems to overcome

• Listed Victorian playhouse, need to conserve play area features

• Uneven cobbled floor on the ground floor

• Low ceiling on the ground floor

• Cob walls which had to be retained

• Limited light available on the 1st floor
